We are Sugar & Bleach, a four-piece band based in Austin, TX.

Our goal is not to achieve a sound but to make songs. The songs are central: Sugar & Bleach is just the instrument by which they come into being. And so we are a band without a genre, becoming whatever the song calls for: surf-rock, electro-pop, folk, blues, heavy metal—or something that has yet to be named. Francis, our primary songwriter, has a catalog of over 500 songs. We're working on bring those into a living breathing existence.

Taliesin West, our first EP, was rehearsed, arranged, and recorded over the span of a single summer when the band was briefly all together in Boston before being pulled again across the country to various schools. Now we live together by a brook in Austin.
